UPDATE:
This version works with PCB 15.21
If you are using any version prior to 15.21 please use
MAILUUCP v 1.0
Thanks!
Ok, now what does it do??
==========================
Glad you asked! My fellow sysop Ronald Goodwin, and all around
good guy, showed me how confusing it was to get his users to
understand "how" to write somebody on the Internet or at an
Internet address. So......
What it will do is show them an example of an Internet address,
ask for the subject of the message, and automatically write the message
To: UUCP
Insert their Subject:
In the message itself write;
======message body============
1:1/31 <Fido's uucp gate>
(crash) <send the message out>
To:
^it stops here and waits for the user to enter the address
of the person they are writting.
That is it! Pretty simple, but for some reason their are users who
just can't follow directions <go figure!>
REGISTRATION: NONE
===================
This program is free because it wasn't that tough to make,
I am in no way saying ALL ppe's should be free. But if you
don't sweat you shouldn't charge :-)
WARRANTY: NONE
===================
If it locks up, tosses fire from your hard drive, destroy
any and all evidence that I wrote it, cause I will not be
responsible and will refuse to know anything about it <smile>
or it just simply refuses to work, write me a message and I
will see what I can do. <but first did you follow these tough
instructions?>
INSTALLATION: SOME
===================
1)
Copy MAILUUCP.PPE, WLC and WLC.PCB to a separate directory on your
hard drive.
2)
Edit the file WLC to your taste. This is the intro screen and just
tells the users something about netmailing to the Internet, via
Fido's Gateway. You can leave it like I wrote it, or change it to
suit your BBS theme. It is YOURS do with it what you will!
3)
Go into PCBSETUP, under Conferences, and into your FIDO NETMAIL
conference specifically. Edit the CMD.LST file for this conference.
Choose a keystroke, a security, and tell it where to find the ppe.
I told it the keystroke "I" for Internet in the following example.
